I want to ask Siteground why using almost 10 Months ago cPanel and I did it, they answered me we will update soon, when I don't know?!!
Today is Nov 13, 2018, the Latest Version of cPanel is 76, Siteground cPanel Version is 66 for Jan 31, 2018, this is a huge problem from my sight, maybe you ask your self what's differences between cPanel 66 and 76, you can see lot of differences here. It's right Siteground has own rules and own security updates, Monitoring servers 24/7, keeping up to date Security softwares, but what about cPanel update?
Siteground staff should work a little harder to always keeping up to date Softwares, Is true good hardwares are very important but Software very important too, I hope as soon as possible Siteground update cPanel version and always keeping up to date.
5. Use Old MySQL
I'm wondered when I figured out Siteground Still using MySQL 5.6, We are almost in 2019 and MySQL 5.6 support will end at 2020, MariaDB 10.2 so much faster than MySQL 5.6 and Siteground didn't notice that?
MySQL 5.6 compare than MariaDB 10.2 is very old and too much slower, The Good News in MariaDB 10.2 you can still using old database with some tweaks and of course you will get faster response and calculating in databases, in anyways MariaDB 10.2 so much better than MySQL 5.6 and some of the web hosting services still using old Softwares, I hope this problem will fix soon and upgrading MySQL 5.6 to MariaDB 10.2.
